Many pupils have also gone on to teach dance and form successful dance companies, often returning to the school to teach the new young dancers of the future.
All pupils are presented in regular School performances and also entered for major dance competitions. there is an annual Summer Dance Course for all levels.
Entertaining the Community
We also have a performance group who go out to residential homes etc. to take dance into the community to entertain those who would not normally be able to go to the theatre.
Wendy Lewis-Allsopp began dance studies with Miss Blellock in Leigh-on-sea, Essex. From there, at the age of 12, she joined the Arts Educational School, Tring, specialising in Ballet and Music. By age 16 she joined the Royal Ballet School Teacher Training Course.
Children and students who show a special aptitude for dance are fully supported and coached for auditions to vocational schools. Former pupis have gone forward to dance with the Royal Ballet and other ballet companies around the world and on the West End stage.

Examinations are available and encouraged for all levels - we study the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing - children enjoy the additional incentive which a prospective examination provides, and are entered when they are ready.
